Lose weight by making healthy choices and a lifestyle change

It took a lot of convincing and courage to show my picture at my worse weight, but if it encourages anyone, my mission is accomplished. Not just for losing weight, but battling disease with nutrition, it is amazing what nutrition can do for us. What we put in our mouth can really mean life or death. My cancer battle has not been officially over, but with God's help and a healthy lifestyle I'm hoping to be cancer free soon.

I had been battling with my weight and high cholesterol for years, I tried all kinds of diets to lose weight, but as soon as I got off the diet the weight always came back, plus more. I was addicted to sugar, pastries, fast, fried, and processed foods. I was diagnosed with breast cancer December 2010 and that’s when my life changed forever. With God’s help I made a commitment to do everything in my power to learn how to battle cancer. I learned about a lifestyle change called “Plant Base Foods” through the China Study, Forks Over Knives and the importance of juicing for our health. I decided to make a lifestyle change. I lost 50 lbs without trying or going hungry, just by making healthy choices. Basically, going back to the original diet plan for our lives; if God made it, I eat it and if man made it I stay away from it. Now I eat to live and not live to eat, it was the best choice I have ever made for my health. I feel great, look better than I have in years, my blood tests show great results, my cholesterol is perfect and I get to enjoy playing with my 5 beautiful grandchildren. I have kept the weight off and as long as I follow the same plan, I will keep it off.
Diets fail, Lifestyle changes work. If I did it, anyone can do it.

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
Genesis 1:29

These is where I post everything I have learned:
